The above poster was spotted in the Life Café in the East Village, NYC. I’m not usually one for motivational posters or sayings, but this one struck a chord with me, so here it is.

With all the Leaving Cert. results that were coming out today, a quote I saw retweeted a lot was one from Rubeus Hagrid, a character from the wildly successful Harry Potter series:

What’s coming will come, and we’ll meet it when it does.

It’s oddly comforting to think that whatever will happen, good or bad, will happen regardless of what we do. All we have to do is roll with the punches.
