Like a lot of teenagers, a lot of what I say tends to be made up of phrases from popular films, books, games or Subconsciously, I find myself adopting them into my vocabulary and using them in everyday life. Things like To infinity.. and beyond! whenever anybody asks me where I’m going or such. The funny thing is that half the things I find myself quoting are things I haven’t seen before, such as “Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain” from the Wizard of Oz, even though I’ve never watched the movie. I’ve read the book, yes, but not the movie.

Am I the one who finds themselves adopting phrases from films/books/TV/plays, even long after I’ve stopped watching that show or finished that book. Maybe it’s the quotes we take with us when we watch/read something; that’s how we remember it and maybe even subconsciously how we judge it.
