Earphone FAIL

My Skullcandy earphones seem to be doing something funky, the sound sometimes only works in one headphones, fading out and about. Normally, that’s fine, but some of my songs feel the need to split the male and female vocals between earphones. For example, California Dreamin’ by the Mamas and the Papas,

Males: All the leaves are broooown
Females: All the leaves are broooown
Males: And the skyy is greyyyyy
Females: And the skyy is greyyyyy

mamas and the papas

But thanks to my banjaxed earphones, I get:

Males: All the leaves are broooown
(pause)
Males: And the skyy is greyyyyy

…Which doesn’t sound half as impressive, does it?

So, I’m asking you a favour, can you recommend a good pair of earphones to me? I’d like them to be in-ears, because outer ear ones don’t cancel enough music, therefore making them unsuitable to drumming. Price range? Let’s say 50 euro or less.

Thanking you in advance!

this is one thing I am very partial about and serious about. As I am clinically deaf I have very particular hearing issues and I still need to listen to music so I ave reviewed no less than 32 sets of all different headphones in my day including skull candies. ill tell you now they are a no go area, candies look awesome but they just dont have the frequency range of others. skull candias have a general output of about 18 to 20’000Hz and sometimes you just need a little more than that!!!

So my recomendation to you for best price, incredible bass sound and they are in ear buds too are the Sennheizer CX400′s and I have a full review and even comments from people who ended up buying them here: http://lettesblog.wordpress.com/2009/04/15/sennheiser-cx400-headphones-review/

and I know they have them in HMV on sale at the moment too :)

    Hi,
I just saw a review which might interest you. A quote: “Bottom line for me is these headphones are stylish looking and nicely priced. They don’t perform as well as some of the more expensive headphones of the same type but that be should expected.”
And they’re made with an all natural wood chamber!
