Uplifting Thought
by Tommy
So, Patrick was on Miriam O’ Callaghan last Saturday night, talking about how there was, in his words, nothing in the water of Silicon Valley, that their success was based on the people they had there. That meant, and this was Patrick’s message, that there was absolutely no reason Ireland couldn’t be famous for startups just like the Valley is.
I’d like to think I can spread the same message, from a different angle.
In all this doom and gloom, I like the thought that you can make money anywhere.
Take Gary Dahl for example. He became a millionaire in 6 months.
He invented the pet rock.
So, in all this doom and gloom and current economic climate and whatnot, I still like to think such ventures are possible.

In just doing some research for this post, specifically grabbing the link to Miriam’s show in the first sentence, I googled “Miriam O’Callaghan” to find her RTE page. Since this was in Firefox, and it offers you suggestions based on the most popular searches..
Oh my! :)
