That Wiki app for the iPhone would be handy. Can’t say that it’d help my crippling addiction to the damn thing, but there you go, they’ve just made internet crack that can you can download and take with you. Great. There goes the business. Congratulations on the win by the way, had you scouted for Best Newcomer back when the nominations came out.

Hampton Catlin made the first such app, iWik, which was in the Top 50 pay apps until Wikimedia (of Wikipedia) bought it and he became its lead mobile developer. It seems it’s not sold anymore, while Wikimedia prepares to roll out its next mobile app. Anyway it only cost $1 USD. Encyclopedia costs $10 USD??? Robbery.

So, how far back does this version of Wikipedia go? Does it have my latest update to the 2008-09 A1 Grand Prix of Nations, South Africa article? ;)
