In my school, you can choose 2 options at Christmas

Home Ec.
Business Studies
Music
Metalwork
Woodwork
Technical Graphics
Technology

I’ve been sampling all of them since the start of the year. If I had to put down my 1-8 I wouldn’t know what to pick.

Art is good. I’m not brilliant at drawing but as the teacher says, there is no bad drawing
Home Ec. is grand. We cook every time we have a double period – which is once a week. The other 2 single classes are made up with learning about personal hygiene and the like
Business Studies is probably the option that’s geared most to life outside secondary school. Learning about banks and money kept my interest
Music. We only got this once but I think the testimonials of others convince me that it’s a great subject. The school drum kit isn’t great but sure if there’s anything massively important I could always use my own kit.
Metalwork. Along with Business, this was the first option I tried and I massively enjoyed it. I never particularly enjoyed such a hands on subject but I love this
Woodwork is obviously the same as MetalWork but wood. I’d choose it if only I didn’t keep breaking my work
Technical Graphics is great. John did it and it’s fantastic. Might take it
Technology is again like Wood and Metal only with plastics
