Coolest headphones EVER!

Today, Dad and I went to Lidl (which, according to my Business Studies teacher, is pronounced “Leedle” to rhyme with “needle”) to get some stuff for dinner. This is the new Lidl in Castletroy and it’s quite new. It’s also quite large and quite Lidl-ish with the insanely low price tags that jump out from 20 paces.
Anyway, like the music junkie I am (think adrenaline with less harrowing consequences), while I was looking for olives, I can across the electronic section. What jumped out at me? (apart from the price tags?) “Wireless Headphones”
Yep. Headphones (not earphones now) with no cable. Truly a drummer’s best friend. Before today, the drum kit and the area around it was strewn haphazardly with cables. A large stereo with two speakers, a smaller pair of tinny speakers I was used while I couldn’t get the large speakers working, two cables to connect to the laptop/iPod and the headphone cable.
Now, they’re gone. Every last one of them.
I found that when using any headphones, the large speakers aren’t used or needed. BANG! Gone!. Now, I can just use the actual stereo part of the setup. Because of that, the tinny speakers aren’t needed. BANG! Gone! Finally, wireless speakers are just that. No cable!. BANG! Gone!
Now, isn’t that awesome? :)
The actual wireless headphones work like this:
You have a docking station which includes a place to charge headphones. Out of the station you have two cables: The first one is just an ordinary plug, the second is one that connects to the input device (laptop, iPod, CD etc.).
My post on Front Row showed you how:
Laptop => Stereo => Headphones => Me
It’s still technically the same, only you could add a “Headphone Station which beams to music to…” as a 3rd option.
Pics to come
