Your too late for some peace n’ love

with 3 comments

Back on October 13th, former Beatle drummer Ringo Starr issued a ‘serious message’ through a video on his site, saying that he was just ‘too busy’ for signing autographs and anything after the 20th of October would be thrown out.

Seems a wee bit silly to me. I mean, I understand it’s his own choice and all that, but A) surely this meant 10x more fanmail coming to him from die hard fans trying to get his auto before the deadline, and B) He’s 69, what’s he doing that requires so much attention? He banged some saucepans back in the 60s for the beatles, but didn’t Paul McCartney say….

Interviewer: So, is Ringo the best drummer in the world?

Paul McCartney: *laughs*. Lemme say this. Ringo ain’t the best drummer in the Beatles!

Hmm, says a bit, doesn’t it? But, again, he’s his own person. It’s his decision.

Please do Thomas the Tank Engine again!!

  1. What gets me is he has enough time to record a video/get someone to record a video for him but not sign a few posters or whatever…

  2. Well come on Guys, it takes longer to cross the street when you are older. Hanging around in the cold trying to remember your name is a pain. I know all about that one.

And to be fair, would you like a surge of people around you every time you stuck your nose outside the door for over 50 years?

I only came to say HI! Welcome to the blog scene and I like this place… clean clear lines and not a hint of black anywhere! I’ll be back.
